Mahogany has always been rare for one reason or another. Its lumber has been harvested by Caribbean natives since prehistoric times. Boasting a diverse range of colors, mahogany can be varied hues of yellow, pink, or salmon when it is first chopped open; however, with enough time mahogany darkens to the deeply luscious red shades and earthy browns that are the wood’s claim to fame.
As durable as it is workable, mahogany has always been popular thanks to its sturdiness and exquisite beauty. Recently we received a shipment of several gorgeous mahogany pieces, so we share a few of them here today. To see a fuller range of mahogany items, click here.
